When Solid BioSciences wanted their AMBR® 250 delivered from its North Carolina location to its headquarters in Charlestown, Massachusetts, Labovers.com got the call.
We have a long history with Solid BioSciences. It dates back to when Labmovers.com did the relocation of Solid BioSciences from its previous location in Kendall Square in Cambridge to its brand new lab at 500 Rutherford in Charlestown. Here’s a video that gives you an idea of the challenges we faced on that relocation. So, Solid Biosciences knew we were up to the task for this project.
As part of the Unigroup Companies, the BTI/ Labmovers.com team worked with the Solid Biosciences and Sartorius team to coordinate in North Carolina for disassembly and crating, led by Sartorius, for the AMBR®250. Labmovers.com loaded the AMBR®250 and transported it on the special commodoties fleet back to our facility in Hanover, MA, for storage.
A little side note about the disassembly. The AMBR 250 weighs 4400 pounds– more than TWO TONS. So this was literally and figuratively no small task.
When Solid Biosciences was ready to receive delivery, we coordinated with Sartorius and technicians on the delivery. Needing forklifts on site to remove it from the shipping container, we unloaded AMBR and assisted in the delivery/reassembly. We returned the shipping crates back to our warehouse and the team from Sartorius had the shipping crates picked up at our dock.
Mission accomplished.
This project is a strong example of what Labmovers does best: managing complex lab logistics end to end, collaborating seamlessly with manufacturers and technicians, and making sure critical equipment arrives ready to perform.
